A fire destroyed a storage shed at the Kerry Hess home in the 500 block of South Lincoln Street in Salem early Tuesday morning.
The Salem Fire Protection District reports the shed was fully engulfed in flames upon their arrival. While initial reports indicated the shed was near the Hess home, the house was never threatened.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
The fire call came in at 3:43 Tuesday morning. Firemen were on the scene for about an hour.
Odin Firemen were called for automatic mutual aid assistance and stayed at the Salem Fire Station in the event of another fire.
