The Marion County Treasurer Gary Purcell has announced the 2024 Mobile Home tax bills are in the mail.

There were 1,700 mobile home privilege tax bills mailed this year seeking to collect $150,565.   The due date is August 13th.

Purcell says the number of bills continues to drop as more and more mobile homes are being placed onto the property tax system.  There were 1,761 mailed last year.

Payments can be made by mail, at most financial institutions in Marion County or in the drop box on the west side of the courthouse.  If payments are made using online bill pay from your institution please include the mobile home number with your payment.  Checking and savings account payments and credit/debit card payments can be made at ILmarion.com by clicking on the ‘Pay your bills online’ link.

The Treasurer’s office at the courthouse is open from eight am to four pm Monday-Friday to receive payments.

If for some reason you do not receive your bill by the end of the next week, call the Treasurer’s Office at 548-3858.

If making payments at the courthouse be prepared for a security screening and limited parking.
