A 28-year-old Centralia man has been charged with two counts of criminal sexual assault in connection with an incident that occurred at a Centralia home early Friday morning.

Silvino Morales-Valencia is accused of sexual assaulting a 42-year-old woman at a home on Cedar Street while staying at the residence.

Centralia Police say the first altercation occurred while five people were in the home and he allegedly grabbed the alleged victim by the face and touched her inappropriately.   Later, while alone in the kitchen with the woman he allegedly grabbed her face covering her mouth and drug her to the garage by her hair.  Morales-Valencia is accused of then removing the woman’s clothing before taking his clothes off and sexually assaulting her.

Police say the woman escaped when running out of the garage without clothing.   She was later taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment.

Morales-Valencia was still at the home when police arrived Friday morning and was taken into custody.   He’s currently being held in the Marion County Jail and is scheduled to make his first appearance in court Monday afternoon.
