There are giveaways in Salem and Centralia today to get students ready for school.
In Salem, the Freedom Church at 1439 West Whitaker in the Westgate Shopping Center is having a back-to-school bash from eleven am to two pm. They will be serving free food. There will be inflatables, games, and crafts, and free backpacks with supplies to all students present.
In Centralia, there will be a backpack and school supply giveaway at the Calumet Street Christian Church on East Calumet and Airport Road in Centralia. Over 700 bags of supplies and backpacks to be given away. Kids must be present to receive items.
