A 31-year-old Mt. Vernon woman charged with three counts of first degree murder has been ordered to undergo a mental fitness evaluation.
Quencie Favors is due back in Jefferson County Court for a status hearing on August 26th. She will be held without bond until that date.
Favors is charged with the stabbing death of 47-year-old Chad James of Mt. Vernon at his home on Tuesday night.
Favors was still in James home when emergency help arrived and she was quickly taken into custody. James was transported to a Mt. Vernon hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Favors had a public defender appointed to represent her.
