WJBD-WSIQ concludes its series today introducing you to the eight contestants vying to be Miss Marion County Fair 2026.

Contestant number five is Jillian Green of Salem. She is a graduate of Salem Community High School and has earned a nursing degree at Kaskaskia College and is currently seeking a bachelor's degree in the field.

“I actually did the pageant three years back whenever I was going into my senior year of high school. I really love the experience, and I wanted to come back and do it again. See if I can win miss Marion County and hopefully support and give out to my community. My favorite part is for sure the girls, they’re so fun, and it’s so memorable. I love making friends, talking to others, and it’s been really fun so far.”

Green says the hardest part of the pageant for her is public seeking and the pop up question. Contestant number eight is Hannah Duncan of Salem. She will be a Salem Community High School senior in the fall.

“I did the pageant last year. I like it all honestly, but for sure my favorite part is interviewing and the pop up questions. I love getting to know myself as well as the other contestants, and improving myself every day.”

Duncan plans to attend Murray State University in Kentucky in horticulture with a minor in ag business. She already operates a flower shop out of her home and hopes to expand it when getting out of college.

The Marion County Queen contest is Monday night at seven in front of the grandstand at the Marion County Fair.
