The Marion County Health Department is reporting 54 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday and Friday. 17 of those testing positive were fully vaccinated, including three long-term care residents who were fully vaccinated.
38 of the new cases are considered community spread and the other 16 are from households or close contacts. The new cases include six long-term care residents all from different facilities. Six are school age.
There were no new deaths in Marion County.
There are now 181 active cases in isolation, including seven in the hospital. None of those hospitalized are on a vent. Ages include three in their 50s, two in their 60s, one in their 70s, and one in their 80s.
Clinton County is reporting 55 new cases during the week ending Friday. 59 are on home isolation. No new deaths have been reported and three remain hospitalized that were admitted earlier.
Jefferson County is reporting 29 new cases in the past two days with 40 in isolation.
Statewide, there were 22,600 new cases in the week ending Friday, a 29-percent increase. The state also reported 129 additional deaths. 67-percent of Illinois residents are now fully vaccinated and 67-percent have had at least one dose.
