The post season continues for middle school softball today.
In Class L at Centralia, Franklin Park advanced to the championship routing Centralia 20-0. Kaylee Carroll went 3-3 with 3 runs and 5 RBI, Gwen Goosetree also had 3 hits and 3 runs and drove in 4. Skylar Gaston and Jayla Tabor had 2 RBI. Goosetree and Carroll had triples at the plate.
Also in Class L yesterday at West Frankfort, the hosts shutout Casey Mt Vernon 15-0 and Hamilton County over Benton 14-4.
Class S Regional semifinal today at Willow Grove as the hosts take on Sandoval at 4:30 at the same time Albers plays Hoffman Trinity.
It’s opening round action at the Patoka regional with Iuka taking on Selmaville, Raccoon plays Field and Rome takes on Odin.
In Region 6 semifinal, Waltonville plays Bluford and OBR plays Summersville.
In Class M, Woodlawn hosts Fairfied and NCOE plays Wayne City.
