Patoka opened up their Class S regional with a 10-0, five inning win over New Horizon. Grant Eddy was the winner in relief giving up 2 hits and no runs over 3.1. Brody Spicer started the game for the Mohawks. Nolan Eddy and Knox Kuhn had 2 hits. RBI came from John Garrett, Grant Eddy, Nolan Eddy, Brody Spicer, Peyton Hyde and Kuhn. They advance to the semifinals where they will play Raccoon after their 10-0 win over Iuka.
Raccoon scored five times in the bottom of the third inning to pull away from the Pirates. Hosea Weems and Gibson Collins had hits for Iuka.
Selmaville advanced to the semifinal as well with a 13-3 win over Central City. Jacob Butts had 3 hits, Logan Howe and Lucas Howe each drove in 3 runs. Liam Ryan, Maddox LaGrasso and Isaac Knapp had multiple hits as well. Simon Fischer was the winner allowing 2 hits and 2 earned runs. The Rockets will take on Willow Grove in their game after they beat Rome 10-6.
In Region 7 today Summersville takes on Bluford and field plays Ewing.
In Class M yesterday in Region 7, Okawville beat Breese District 12 6-3 and Aviston over All Saints Academy 14-4.
At Fairfield, Woodlawn eliminated Albion 11-4 and Spring Garden over Fairfield 8-5.
