Franklin Park opened their Class L baseball regional at Centralia yesterday with a 12-0 in four innings over Carlyle. Salem benefited from 9 walks and 2 hit batters. Ethan Parrett had 2 hits with a double and 3 RBI, Lewis Eddy singled home 2 runs and Easton Henson singled and scored twice. Nolan Krutsinger, Easton Keller and Maxsen Tiemann scored twice. EJ Wolfe and Nash Mulvany also scored runs. Keller, Krutsinger and Wolfe combined for a no hitter with Krutsinger going 2 scoreless with 5 ks for the win. Salem will play Wesclin on Thursday for the Regional Title at 4:15 at Centralia.
Also in Class L at West Frankfort, the hosts shutout Casey Mt Vernon 15-0 and Benton over Hamilton County 19-9.
