Barbara Kay Rushing, 90, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2026. She was born on May 29, 1936.
Barbara is survived by her sister, Janette Henson of Marion; brother, Jerry Ray Long and Mary Ann of Centralia; step-children, Judy and husband, Steve, and their son, and Ronald and his sons; and many special nieces and nephews.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; Ray & Ruth (Pitchford) Long; her husbands, Bill Linder, and Ken Rushing; her sister, Janet Mae King; and her son, Randy Linder.
Barbara was a lovely lady who had many gifts and talents that her family and friends were blessed with. She could play the piano brilliantly and found endless joy while at the keys. Barbara was a loving nurturing Mom, devoted to support her family. She was a welcome face to her son Randy while he was in the nursing home, visiting him twice a day. Barbara will be remembered for her kind heart, her gentleness in times of trouble, and her perseverance throughout her life.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2026, at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia. Interment will follow at Fouts Cemetery in Centralia. Relatives and friends are welcome to the visitation from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday to offer words of comfort and support to Barbara’s family.
