Salem Township Hospital is reporting respiratory diseases that hit the area hard this winter appear to be on the decline.
Chief Nursing Officer Lisa Ambuehl says during the month of March there were 14 COVID cases, 15 RSV cases, 30 Flu A cases, and 5 Flu B cases that came through the emergency room or the hospital’s medical providers. For the first week of April, there was a further decline in number of cases. There have been no COVID cases, 3 RSV, 2 Flu A, and 5 Flu B cases.
The respiratory diseases began hitting the area hard around Christmas.
