With profound sadness and loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Sandy Maddox, who entered into the presence of her Lord on July 25, 2026, at the age of 73. Sandy passed away at home surrounded by her children and family members.

Sandy was a woman of unwavering faith whose love for God guided her throughout her life.

She was employed at SSM Hospital for many years before retiring. Never one to sit still, she later went to work at G&G Rolloff. She truly loved her job and her work family.

Sandy’s favorite past times were reading her Bible, watching game shows, NCIS and doing puzzle books. She also enjoyed hanging out with her grandson, Xavier Maddox and his friends. It brought her so much joy having them around .

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim Maddox, her mother, Beatrice Jarrell, and father, “Shorty” Jarrell.

Sandy leaves behind her loving children, cherished grandchildren, a sister and extended family, all of whom will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

A visitation for family and friends to gather and share memories will be held Friday, July 31, 2026 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home located at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618)532-3523, who is honored to be of service to Sandy’s Family.
