A Centralia home was destroyed by fire early Saturday morning.

Centralia City Firemen say the fire was at the Cindy Wooters home at 821 East 5th Street.   She was not home at the time.

First arriving firemen found the back half of the house and part of the roof engulfed in flames.  With the head start and a strong wind blowing the flames into the rest of the home, the entire structure ended up with heavy damage.

All available Centralia City Firemen were called to the scene along with the Centralia Fire Protection District.  Sandoval Firemen stood by at the Centralia City Fire Station in the event of another fire.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.  Fire officials say it’s unlikely Wooters will be able to save anything inside the home.

The fire call came in at 1:03 on Saturday morning.  Firemen didn’t clear the scene until five am.
