The Salem Wildcats won their 4th straight game and honored their seniors prior to their 4-2 win over the Altamont Indians.
Josh Powless doubled as part of his 2-hit day and drove in a run. Keaton Gullion was 2-3, Jalen Inlow added a double, run and RBI. Gavin Zimmermann singled and scored and Kam Wilkins reached base twice.
Salem honored Powless, Zimmermann, Wilkins and Nathan Paulson prior to the game.
On the mound, Zimmermann was great going 5 innings allowing 4 hits and 2 runs with 8 strikeouts. Noah Nix came in to get the final 2 innings of work for the save striking out 5 and not allowing a hit.
The Cats are back in action today at Vandalia. Salem is 13-15 on the season.
