Lady Cats Sending 2 To State….2a Salem Sectional Results From Thursday

The Salem Lady Cats hosted the 2a Track Sectional yesterday at Jim Finks Field.  2 Lady Cats advanced to the State Track Meet in Charleston.  Finley Puricelli finished 2^nd in the 400m and Hannah Smith won the discus in a throw of 114-10.

In other performances from Salem yesterday, the 4×100 team was just over .1 of a second off a 30 year Salem high record.  They were 4^th in 51.31.  Emily Runyan 6^th in the pole vault, Kinsey Jarrett 8^th in long jump and triple jump, Brylee Pennypacker 6^th in discus, Smith was 5^th in shot, Eden Gallia 9^th in the 100 and 6^th in the 200, Avery Robinson 4^th in the 200.  Salem as a team was 8^th with 30.50 points.

For Mount Vernon, Melania Zedalis was 6^th in the high jump, 2^nd in the long jump with teammate Tiara Johnson 4^th, Kamaree Pollard was 2^nd in the triple jump with Dezaire Jones 3^rd, Mina Osborne was 6^th in the shot, Payton Sledge 4^th in the 100m hurdles with teammate Tarrah Sneddon 6^th, Kennedy Bax 3^rd in the 800m, Sledge was also 5^th in the 300m hurdles, Pollard also won the 200m.  Mount Vernon also won the 4×200 and was 2^nd in the 4×400.

For Patoka/South Central, Emma Jenne was 9^th in the high jump, Brooke Cowger was 4^th in the disucs and 4^th in the shot put, Kayla Engel 5^th in the 800m.

For Centralia, Gracie Morgan 5^th in the pole vault, Jordyn Peterson 6^th in the triple jump, Sabre Schirefer and Mya McGee went 10 and 11 in the shot,Remi McDonald was 8^th in the 100m hurdles, Jenna Wagner was 3^rd in the 100m with Sha’Mary Maines-May was 5^th, Aniah Young 8^th in the 400m, Adariyah Dabney was 9^th in the 300m hurdles, Zaria Strowder was 3^rd in the 200m, Centralia also won the 4×100 relay.
