Police Beat for Friday, April 19th, 2024

Salem Police have arrested 36-year-old Levi Sullivan of North Broadway in Salem for alleged domestic battery.  Police were called to his residence around three Thursday afternoon.   Sullivan was taken to the Marion County Jail to await an appearance in court.

Centralia Police arrested 20-year-old Jacob Dickerson of East Calumet in Centralia for alleged possession of meth and on an St. Clair County felony warrant.  He was taken to the Marion County Jail.

Salem Police arrested 41-year-old Ryan Collier of Tonti Road in Salem for alleged driving under the influence.   He was taken to the Marion County Jail where he was later given a notice to appear.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a burglary to a camper in the 3000 block of Old US 51 in Sandoval.  A number of items were reported stolen.

The sheriff’s department is also investigating criminal damage to a shed in the 1700 block of Mercer Road in rural Centralia.   The owner reported hearing a gunshot on Wednesday before finding a broken window and a door open on the shed.
