Sally Knox, 64, of Irvington, passed away Friday, March 22, 2024, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

She was born September 28, 1959, in Centralia, the daughter of Orville Lilienkamp and Dorothy (Hongsermier) Lilienkamp. She married Alan Knox on March 3, 2000.

In addition to her husband of 24 years, Alan Knox of Irvington, Sally is also survived by her daughter: Jenny Moore of Irvington; step-children: Beth Hobbs and husband Justin of Belleville, Mark Knox of Centralia, and Clint Knox and wife Amanda of Centralia; three grandchildren: Valarie Brake and husband Griffin of Centralia, Veronica Morrison and husband Kobe of Centralia, and Ana Tindall of Centralia; one great-grandson: Kharson Morrison; a brother and three sisters: Pearl Speidel and husband Mark of Mattoon, Tom Lilienkamp and wife Connie of Christiana, Tennessee, Susan Brammeier and Michael of Richview, and Kathy Mulvin and husband David of Centralia; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Sally previously worked at NASCOTE in Nashville for 7 years. She enjoyed spending her free time grilling, going camping, participating in BBQ competitions, and mowing the lawn. She loved being outdoors, especially swimming in her pool and spending time with her family.

Graveside Services for Sally Knox will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 11:30 am at Friedens United Church of Christ Cemetery in Irvington. A visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia. In memory of Sally, memorial donations may be made to Six Lemons (a local group whose mission is to help and support local cancer patients) and will be accepted by the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street in Centralia, Illinois 62801 (618) 532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Knox family.
