State Police have released more details on those involved in a single-vehicle crash Friday morning on Selmaville Road near the Scout Road intersection southwest of Salem.

The driver of the car was 47-year-old Jeremy Dickerson of Centralia.   The passengers were 44-year-old Valerie Dickerson of Centralia and a 17-year-old male and 17-year-old female juveniles.

State Police earlier said the driver was northbound on Selmaville Road when the vehicle ran off the right side of the road, struck a culvert and overturned.

Salem Fire Protection District Chief Jim Cerny said the car came to rest on its top in a deep roadside ditch.   Firemen had to extricate Jeremy Dickerson from the vehicle.  Valerie Dickerson was reportedly thrown from the vehicle.   Both were taken to the nearby Salem Fire Protection District training facility where they were airlifted by medical helicopter to a St. Louis Hospital for treatment.   The two teenage passengers were taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Jeremy Dickerson was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and improper lane usage.

The crash was reported at 9:05 Friday morning.  Selmaville Road was closed for about five hours as the accident scene was cleared and an accident reconstruction report was completed.
