Centralia City Firemen say a fire at a Centralia home late Saturday night was confined to one outside wall.

The fire at the Linda Holland home at 429 North James apparently started as a result of an overloading of wiring on the electrical system as a result of two space heaters being plugged in at the same time.

One of the occupants of the home was trying to put it out with a garden hose by putting water on an outside wall when the fire department arrived on the scene.  Firemen got a quick knockdown after ripping off part of the outside wall.

The damage was confined to the one section of the wall.  There was not any significant smoke damage in the home.

No additional firemen had to be called in.

No injuries were reported.

The fire rekindled in the blown-in insulation of the wall around eight Sunday morning but was quickly extinguished by firemen.

The original fire call came in at 11:12 Saturday night with firemen remaining on the scene for just over a half-hour.
