Charles “Charlie” Spindler, 85, of Hoffman passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at SSM St. Mary’s Health Hospital in Centralia. Mr. Spindler proudly served his country in the United States Airforce. Charlie worked hard to provide for his family as a loyal employee of Murray Center for over 20 years. He was known for his great storytelling and knowing just the right time to crack a joke. His laughter filled a room. Charlie liked to go to country concerts with his wife, Eunice and watch his favorite baseball team the St. Louis Cardinals win! Charlie was deeply loved by his family and his memory will be cherished.

He married his sweetheart Eunice Borgmann in Carlyle, IL on June 21, 1974 and they were blessed with 46 years of marriage and she survives him in Hoffman. Survivors include his devoted wife, Eunice Spindler of Hoffman; beloved daughter, Pamela Spindler of Hoffman; and treasured sister Joyce Kleber of Carlyle.
He was born on January 20, 1935 the son of George and Cora (Hammel) Spindler in Huey, IL. Charlie was preceded in death by both his parents, George and Cora Spindler; and brother, Bill Spindler.
