Bond was set at $25,000 in Marion County Court Friday for a 29-year-old Centralia woman charged in connection with a Wednesday night stabbing at the Midtown Motel in Centralia.
Rayann Mandrell of Circle Drive is accused of stabbing Mercedes Williams who resided at the motel in the arm with a knife.
Centralia Police earlier said Mandrell had given another woman money for drugs and when she didn’t receive any drugs she was allowed into a room by Williams to look for the woman who took her money. The stabbing occurred later when Williams was trying to get Mandrell to leave.
Williams was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment.
Mandrell had the public defender appointed to represent her and a preliminary hearing set for January 27th.
