COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio State quarterback Jack Miller III is back on the team. He was reinstated after his drunken-driving charge from earlier this month was reduced to a minor misdemeanor traffic offense. The redshirt freshman was stopped in the university district on Nov. 5 by an Ohio Highway Patrol trooper who said Miller’s pickup truck was weaving. After a field-sobriety test, he was arrested on the suspicion of drunken driving and refused to take a breath test. The charge was reduced during Miller’s arraignment in court on Thursday. He pleaded guilty and agreed to pay a $150 fine and court costs.

CHICAGO (AP) — David Jones scored 22 points and Javon Freeman-Liberty scored 19 with nine rebounds and DePaul held off Rutgers 73-70. The Blue Demons now have won five of their last six games against Big Ten Conference opponents. Down three, Geo Baker came off a screen but his contested 3-pointer bounced off the back of the rim. Brandon Johnson secured the rebound for DePaul and was immediately fouled. He missed two foul shots with 3.8 seconds, but Aundre Hyatt rebounded in traffic and his desperation heave never made it to half court. Ron Harper Jr. scored 19 points with 11 rebounds for Rutgers.
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (AP) — Sam Sessoms scored 26 points shooting 10 for 13 and John Harrar posted a double-double and Penn State beat St. Francis (BKN) 74-59. In registering his second double-double of the year Harrar scored 14 points with 13 rebounds. Sessoms made a layup, a jumper and a pair of free throws and a 24-19 lead expanded to a 40-27 margin at the break. Sessoms started the second half with a three-point play and the Terriers trailed by double digits for the remainder.
UNDATED (AP) — Top-ranked Georgia is the only Power Five team to have clinched a spot in its conference championship game. More tickets to title games should be punched this weekend. Second-ranked Alabama would lock up the SEC West with a win over Arkansas to set up a matchup with Georgia. The winner between Oregon and Utah will move to the Pac-12 championship game. The Oregon-Utah loser could still win its division this week if the team behind it in the standings also loses. The Big Ten and Big 12 title game pairings won’t be decided until next week.

The Terps had an 18-0 edge in points off turnovers in the first half and 30-2 for the game.
