The Democratic nominee for Illinois’ twelfth congressional district, Julie Fortier, will be joining Marion County Democrats for a ribbon cutting on their new headquarters on West Main Street. Following the ribbon cutting, Fortier will host a town hall and community food drive from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Salem Community Activities Center.
The town hall will provide an opportunity for residents to ask questions, share concerns, and discuss issues affecting their families, communities, and the future of Southern Illinois. Community members attending the town hall are encouraged, but not required, to bring nonperishable food items for the food drive to support neighbors in need.
