Salem Fire Protection District officials say the driver of a car pulled into the front Fabick Tractor parking lot on West Main Street Friday afternoon when noticing her car was on fire.
Firemen say the fire was in the passenger compartment under the dashboard and was confined to that area.
The car was being driven by Kia Wilson of Sievers Road in Iuka at the time. It is owned by Gerald Cooper of Sievers Road in Iuka.
The cause the fire has not been determined. It had to be towed from the scene.
The call came in at 2:45 on Friday afternoon.
