Two people were taken to the Marion County Jail on separate domestic battery arrests. Centralia Police arrested 46-year-old Jeremie Wallace of South Hickory in Centralia. 38-year-old Andy Appleton of Selmaville Road in Salem was arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies. Both were taken to the Marion County Jail to await a final decision on charges and a first appearance in court.
Salem Police arrested 41-year-old Clinton Nix for violation of an order of protection. He told authorities he was homeless. Nix was taken to the Marion County Jail to await a first court appearance.
Centralia Police arrested 40-year-old Gabriel Davis of North Beech in Centralia on outstanding Marion and Clinton County no-bond felony failure-to-appear warrants. He was taken to the Marion County Jail.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 60-year-old Richard Lewis of Burkett Road in Xenia, on an outstanding Clay County traffic warrant. He remains in custody in lieu of $300 bond.
A 59-year-old Salem man, Dwayne Halterman of North Broadway, was arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies on an outstanding Williamson County major traffic warrant. He was later released on a notice to appear in Williamson County Court at Marion.
29-year-old Jacob Logston of South Elm in Ziegler was issued a notice to appear after being arrested by Illinois State Police for driving under the influence and exceeding the speed limit by more than 35 miles per hour.
59-year-old Cynthia Wessel of Carlyle was arrested by State Police for alleged DUI. She was later released on a notice to appear in court.
