A 28-year-old Vandalia man was airlifted from the scene of a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 51 near the Patoka Oil Tank Farm late Friday night.
State Police say Christopher Carroll received life-threatening injuries and was flown to a regional hospital from the scene of the crash.
Preliminary investigation indicates Carroll was traveling north on U.S. 51when he ran off the right side of the road, struck a culvert and ditch embankment. The car rolled over and came to rest on its top in the ditch on the right side of the road.
State Police say the crash is still under investigation. It occurred at 10:44 Friday night.
