Reno Edwin Casanova, age 25, of Kennewick, Washington, formerly of Fairfield, Illinois, passed away on December 15, 2020, in Kennewick, Washington.
A Visitation will be held Monday, January 4, 2021, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Bethel Memorial Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Graveside Service will begin at 2:00 pm with Brother Russell Gaston officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in Reno’s honor to the First Christian Church in Fairfield, Illinois as he loved taco Tuesdays during his time in High School. Please remember to observe social distancing at this time. We are limited to 10 people under the tent at one time. Following the CDC and NFDA regulations, we encourage everyone to wear a mask. He was born August 9, 1995, in Centralia, Illinois to Fernando Casanova and Angela (Gowler) Shreve.
Reno is survived by his mother and stepfather, Angela and Robert Shreve; brothers, Blake (Smith) Walters and husband Ryan, of Carterville, Illinois, Raul Casanova of Texas, Cheyenne Casanova of Texas; sisters, Shana Smith of Carterville, Illinois, Lynn Casanova of Texas, Nevaeh Casanova of Johnston City, Illinois; step-sister, Kcee Shreve of Indiana; paternal grandmother, Angelita Casanova of Edenburg, Texas, and step-mother, Heather Casanova of Johnston City, Illinois; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Reno was welcomed in Heaven by his father, Fernando Casanova; grandparents, Floyd and Mary Gowler, Enrique Casanova; aunt and uncle, Kenny and Patty Gowler; nephew, Byron Casanova, and his dear friends, Caleb and Boz. Reno always had a spark for life and lived his to the fullest. He loved fiercely and loyally. He was a charmer full of bravado and had the greatest smile accompanied with the best laugh. He was always up for an adventure with a mischievous glint in his eyes. Always remember Reno’s mantra, “Always forward, never backwards.” Shine bright sweet soul, until we meet again.
