Wildcats Can’t Keep Up With State-Ranked Freeburg

#18 Freeburg scored 4 runs in the third inning as they pulled away to win at Salem 7-1 yesterday.  Brenden Smith and Brody Collier had 2 hits and Luke Boldt drove in the Salem run.  The Cats defense made 3 errors leading to 3 unearned runs.  Boldt went 6 innings and allowed 4 earned.  Carter Lowe worked an inning of relief.  Salem is scheduled to travel to Mater Dei on Friday.


White Solid, But Salem JV Falls To Freeburg

The Salem JV lost at Freeburg 4-0 in a game that only had 6 combined hits as the Cats outhit the Midgets 4-2.  Scout Puricelli doubled for Salem.  Also with singles were Jax Schaubert, Kaden Cripps and Robbie Petrea.  Landen White was good on the mound going 6 innings and allowing just 2 earned runs and 2 hits.

Orphans Can’t Keep Up With Aces

Centralia fell to Mt Carmel 12-2 breaking the game open scoring 4 runs in the fourth to make it 8-2.  Centralia made 10 errors in the game leading to 10 unearned runs.  Preston Feig and Rhett Lambert drove in the Orphans runs.  Michael Organ went 2-2 with 2 doubles.  Will Stanton singled and scored.


Rams Fall To Breese Central

Mt Vernon fell to Breese Central 6-5.  Maxwell Nowak went 2-3 with 2 RBI and Ty Pierce had 2 hits and a run. Mt Vernon is 9-8 on the season.
