The Salem Community Theater is excited to present “Packing up Polly”, a comedy written by Leslie Kimbell.
“Packing up Polly” is a playful and bittersweet story of Caroline Porter Cook, former cheerleader and prom queen, returning home after learning of her hoarder mother’s death and must deal with the aftermath. Caroline must reluctantly rely on her old high school friends; Lizzy, Caroline’s old “frenemy”, Donna Jo, a one time Off Off Broadway who has been married nine times, and Becca, a soon to be single mother of four, to help sort through the mess. This story of long-lasting friendships and grace through vulnerability gives a deeply heartfelt journey focusing on family and the healing power of love.
Show dates are Friday and Saturday, May 29th -30th and June 5th -6th at 7pm, as well as Sunday, May 31st and June 7th at 3pm. Tickets are for sale right now at SalemILtheater.org. Adult tickets are $10 and student tickets are $6.
