Kyle Powell Blanchard has been presented a plaque in recognition for his 33 years at CHS and 33 years in education.
“I don’t know about public speaking. So this is my wife Cinnamon. We’ve been together forever. She has been the one who’s supported me through everything. Like, Chuck said, I’ve been busy here, but it was an easy kind of busy because I was doing what I really liked to do.”
Blanchard was hired by CHS in 1993 by Don Stanton.
In his career at CHS, he served as both assistant and head coach for girls’ track, as well as for girls’ and boys’ cross country. In his free time, he loves taking part in community projects, as well as running, golfing, biking, and photography, and enjoys bothering his wife, Cinnamon.
Rob Minson was given a plaque in recognition of his 25 years at CHS and 36 years of experience as a master ACE-certified professional.
For the past 25 years, he has proudly been part of CHS, teaching Auto Shop classes.
Kathi See has completed 31 years at CHS since being hired in 1995. See was a Special Education teacher.
See’s favorite time at CHS was as a book club sponsor. She also worked countless basketball and football games, many of them at the old Evers Field and Trought Gym.
“Then it hit me about 10 minutes before I got up here, and I started getting excited because I turned in my last quarterly reporting after.”
Retirees had a chance to meet and socialize with past retirees over food and drinks following the presentations.
