Earlando Burns passed away on Friday, April 24th, 2026, in Tempe, AZ, at the age of 59. Born on Friday, April 7th, 1967, in Centralia, Earlando is the son of Earl Jones and Ophelia Jeter.
Earlando is survived by his beloved children, who were the joy of his life: sons, Dustin Wilson of Centralia and Wesley Rose of Cleveland, Ohio; and daughters, Shawntia Watson of Douglasville, GA, and Alexis Kilgore of Phoenix, AZ; siblings, Mildred Burns of Glendale AZ, Joseph (Cathy) Burns of Mt. Vernon, Earice (Necia) Burns of Cleveland, OH, Areta (Floyd) Cummings of Douglasville, AZ, Darren Burns of Centralia, IL, Annabell (Val) Bush of Ferguson, MO, Gloria (Carlton) Caldwell of Sun City, AZ, Monica Campbell of Goodyear, AZ and Rayland Young of Centralia, and a niece, Ava Burns of Centralia and a host of other family members.
Earlando was preceded in death by his father, Earl Jones; mother, Ophelia Jeter; brothers, Jarice Burns, Jerry Burns, Steven Young, Johnell Burns, Julian Burns, and sister, Barbara Burns. He is now reunited with them, leaving behind memories that will be cherished forever.
Earlando spent many years contributing to the community through his work in customer service at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, where he was known for his warmth, professionalism, and ability to brighten the day of every traveler he encountered. His colleagues and friends will remember him as a beacon of positivity and a steadfast friend.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 16th, 2026, at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia, IL. Family and friends are invited to gather from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for a visitation, followed by a service at 12:00 p.m. to honor and remember the life of a remarkable man. Memorial donations may be made to the family. They will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home, located at 235 North Sycamore Street, Centralia, Illinois 62801, which is honored to be of service to Earlando’s family.
