Wanda L. Lippert Twenhafel, age 85 of Centralia, passed away at High Point Residence in Centralia on Monday, April 20, 2026.
Wanda was born in Sandoval, Illinois, on February 14, 1941, a daughter of Ray and Juanita (Meridith) Miller. She married Marshall Lippert on November 14, 1959, and he preceded her in death on November 7, 1998. She married Ralph Twenhafel on April 9, 2011, and he survives in Centralia.
In addition to her husband Ralph, Wanda is survived by her daughters, Lesley Roper and husband Michael of Centralia, Marsha Dye and husband Greg of Salem, Illinois, and Barbara Shaw and husband Chet of Shaumburg, Illinois; a step daughter, Tammy Oertel and husband Jason of Brighton, Illinois; her adoring grandchildren, Andrew Koehler and wife Ellie, Tess Ashby, Karen Engelmann and husband Justin, Logan Dye and wife Amanda, Lily Shaw, Luke Shaw, Blake Shaw, Tyson Oertel, and Shelby Oertel; her great grandchildren, Riley Koehler, Winston Koehler, Leona Koehler, Ryder Ashby, Marlee Engelmann, Heidi Engelmann, Amelia Dye, and Jackson Dye; her siblings, Sandra Johnson and husband Bill, Betty Patterson and husband Joe, James Miller, and Richard Miller and wife Kim; and several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Juanita Miller; her husband, Marshall Lippert; and her siblings and in-laws, Joan Moore and husband Murval, Marvin Miller, Barbara Carpenter and husband Kenneth, Paul Miller, and Jennifer Gallagher and husband Dennis.
Wanda was a homemaker who managed the family. She and her husband owned and operated Marshall’s Well Service in Centralia for many years. She enjoyed bowling, antiquing, collecting sewing machines, and beautiful handmade quilts.
Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church (8700 Huey Road, Hoffman, IL 62250) on Thursday, April 23, 2026, with visitation from 9:00 – 11:00 AM, and a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Centralia, Illinois.
