Julia Ann Mattmiller, 96, of Centralia, passed away Friday, April 17, 2026, at Fireside House in Centralia. She was born on January 3, 1930, in Centralia, the daughter of Herbert and Lillian (Ford) Monday. She married Donald Dwight Mattmiller Sr. on July 1, 1947, in Centralia, and he preceded her in death on October 3, 1996.
Survivors include her sons, Donald (Faye) Mattmiller Jr. of Junction City, Charles (Margaret) Mattmiller Sr. of Centralia, Darrel (Vicky) Mattmiller of Centralia; daughter Donna Rae Honecker of Centralia; daughters-in-law, Toni Mattmiller of Centralia, and Linda Mattmiller of Carbondale; grandchildren, Trisha, Amy, Brandon, Thresa, Lisa, Bobby Dean, Michael, Amanda, Nick, Christina, Melissa, Bruce Jr., Charles Jr., Shawnda, Shaun and Misty; fifty-three great grandchildren; fifty great-great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.
Along with her husband, Donald, Julia was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Lillian Monday; sisters, Nellie, Shirley, Barbara, and Mary; sons, Bruce and Rodney; and nephew, Danny Donoho.
Julia retired in 1975 from the manufacturing industry. She was a Tops leader for twenty years and a supervisor for Bergen Built Manufacturing for over twenty years. She loved her family and loved spending time with them. She loved all those who cared for her at Fireside, as they became her extended family. She was most grateful for the day when Pastor Don Schaffer led her to Christ. She loved the Lord and is now rejoicing in His presence.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia, with Pastor Don Schaffer officiating. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Centralia. Relatives and friends are welcome to a visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home in Centralia. Memorials may be made in Julia’s honor to Zion Hill Baptist Church.
