ST. LOUIS (AP) — Charlie Lindgren made 22 saves and Pavel Buchnevich had a goal and assist, leading the St. Louis Blues to a 4-1 win over the slumping Montreal Canadiens. The Blues have won their last seven home games, their longest streak since winning nine in a row from Dec. 12, 2019-Jan. 13, 2020. Ivan Barbashev, Dakota Joshua, and Torey Krug also scored for St. Louis, which has picked up points in seven of its last eight games. Alexander Romanov scored for Montreal, which has lost six in a row. Lindgren was making his second start of the season, replacing Jordan Binnington, who is in COVID-19 protocol.

— It was a day of firsts for Brady Tkachuk and Anton Forsberg as the Senators ended the Lightning’s five-game winning streak 4-0. Tkachuk notched his first NHL hat trick and Forsberg stopped 24 shots in his first shutout. Josh Norris also tallied for the Senators, who are the first team to blank the Lightning this season. Norris put the Sens ahead midway through the first period with his 12th goal. Tampa Bay was trying to complete a perfect road trip of at least five games for the first time in team history.
— Shootout goals by T.J. Oshie (OH’-shee) and Evgeny Kuznetsov (kooz-NEHT’-sahf) sent the Capitals past the Sabres, 3-2. Martin Fehervary (fay-uhr-VAHR’-ee) and Lars Eller scored in regulation, and Vitek Vanecek (VAN’-eh-chehk) stopped 29 shots for Washington.
— Casey DeSmith posted his seventh career shutout by stopping 33 shots in the Penguins’ 1-0 win over the Ducks. Brock McGinn sent the Pens to their fourth straight win by scoring on Pittsburgh’s first shot.
— David Kampf took a lucky carom off the end boards to score with 1:20 left in the third period of the Maple Leafs’ 5-4 verdict over the Blackhawks. William Nylander (NEE’-lan-dur) had a goal and two assists, while John Tavares and Auston Matthews each had a goal and an assist for Toronto.
— The Hurricanes rode Sebastian Aho’s (AH’-hohz) two goals and an assist to a 3-1 victory against the Oilers. Nino Niederreiter (NEE’-dur-eye-tur) also scored as Carolina improved to 12-3-1 on the road.
— Brendan Lemieux returned from his five-game suspension to score a goal in the Kings’ 2-1 decision over the Wild. Phillip Danault also scored for the Kings, Jonathan Quick made 29 saves to help Los Angeles end Minnesota’s eight-game winning streak.
— The Bruins picked up a 4-2 win at Calgary as Linus Ullmark (LEE’-nuhs OOL’-mahrk) made 40 saves and Brad Marchand collected two points. Marchand, Charlie McAvoy, Curtis Lazar, and Connor Clifton scored to help Boston improve to 3-0-2 in its last five contests.
— Tomas Hertl (HUR’-tul) scored in his fourth straight game and James Reimer made 34 saves in his return to the lineup, guiding the Sharks to a 2-1 win over the Stars. Dallas went 0-3 on their road trip after winning its previous seven games.
— Max Domi (DOH’-mee) had two goals and an assist before Jake Bean scored 55 seconds into overtime to send the Blue Jackets to just their second win in eight games, 5-4 at Seattle. Jack Roslovic and Oliver Bjorkstrand each had a goal and assist for Columbus.
— The Islanders won for the first time in eight home games this season as Zach Parise (pah-REE’-say) broke a 2-2 tie with a short-handed goal late in the second period of a 4-2 decision over the Devils. J.G. Pageau (pa-ZHOH’) had a goal and an assist for the Isles, while Ilya Sorokin (sah-ROH’-kihn) handled 30 shots.
— The Flyers came away with a 5-3 win at Arizona as James van Riemsdyk (REEMZ’-dyk) scored twice and Patrick Brown netted his first goal of the season. Scott Laughton and Claude Giroux also scored in Philadelphia’s second straight win since a 10-game losing streak.
