CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) — Bennedict Mathurin scored 30 points to power No. 11 Arizona over Illinois 83-79 on Saturday. Trailing the Illini by one with 2:22 to play, Arizona’s Azuolas Tubelis capitalized on an offensive rebound by putting in a layup. On the next possession, Christian Koloko forced a turnover, and Mathurin scored an easy layup to make it 79-76 with 1:55 to go. Sophomore guard Kerr Kriisa added 19 points, eight rebounds, and four assists for 9-0 Arizona, while Tubelis had 16 points and eight rebounds. For 7-3 Illinois, guard Trent Frazier had 27 points, Alfonso Plummer added 25 points, and Kofi Cockburn had 12 rebounds.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Bryce Golden tied his career high with a season-high 20 points as Butler defeated Eastern Illinois 66-54. CJ Lane led the Panthers with 12 points.
CHICAGO (AP) — Antonio Reeves had 30 points as Illinois State beat Chicago State 80-71. Jahsean Corbett led the Cougars with 17 points and six rebounds.

— Eighth-ranked Kansas renewed its rivalry with Missouri on Saturday, and the experience was quite rewarding for the Jayhawks. Ochai Agbaji (OH’-chy ahg-BAH’-ee) poured in 21 points and the Jayhawks improved to 8-1 by blasting the Tigers, 102-65. Christian Braun and Dajuan Harris each had 13 points for Kansa, which was taking on Missouri in a regular-season game for the first time since the Tigers left the Big 12 in 2012. It was the 270th meeting between the two programs. Javon Pickett was high man for the Tigers with 19 points, but season scoring leader Kobe Brown managed just five points and six rebounds.
— Jaime Jaquez (HY’-may hah-KEHZ’) Jr. had 24 points and 11 rebounds to help No. 4 UCLA defeat Marquette, 67-56. The game had to be pushed back seven hours because the Bruins had flight problems.
— JD Davison’s putback dunk with 33 seconds left and a final defensive stop gave No. 9 Alabama a 83-82 victory over 14th-ranked Houston. Juwan Gary topped his career-high by halftime and finished with 19 for the Tide, who have defeated two of last season’s Final Four teams in successive weekends.
— Blake Wesley’s driving pull-up jumper in the lane with 11.7 seconds to go put Notre Dame ahead as the Irish stunned No. 10 Kentucky 66-62. Wesley and Goodwin scored 14 points each for the Irish, who erased a 53-48 Kentucky lead with an 11-1 spurt.
— Elijah Harkless scored 21 points as Oklahoma handed 12th-ranked Arkansas its first loss of the season, 88-66. The Sooners rushed to a 13-0 lead, helped by two 3-pointers and a drive by Harkless.
— Josiah-Jordan James and Brandon Huntley-Hatfield each scored 12 points to lead No. 13 Tennessee to a 76-36 victory over UNC Greensboro. The Vols used a 13-0 run late in the first half to separate themselves from the Spartans.
— R.J. Cole scored 15 points and No. 15 Connecticut surged midway through the second half to beat St. Bonaventure, 74-64. The Bonnies took a 39-36 lead on Jalen Adaway’s two free throws before the Huskies scored 13 straight points to take control.

— Gabe Brown scored 15 points and Marcus Bingham Jr. added 12 with 13 rebounds to lead No. 19 Michigan State to an 80-64 victory over Penn State. The Spartans took advantage of cold shooting by the Nittany Lions at the start of the second half to build a 51-32 lead.
