On this day, in 1916, Codell, Kansas, was hit by a tornado. In 1917, Codell, Kansas, was hit by a tornado, exactly one year after it was hit by its first tornado. In 1918, Codell, Kansas, was hit by a tornado, exactly two years after it was hit by its first tornado and one year after it was hit by its second tornado! This third one was the most destructive, killing 10 people and wrecking a good portion of the town.
