The Salem 13u finished up their travel season with a pair of wins over Breese. Salem opened up with a 12-2 win. Landen Maxey went 3-3 with a double and 2 runs scored, Jaret Gibson 2-3 with 2 runs, Brendan Smith had 2 hits and 2 runs, Evan Barnes scored twice. Max Vincent, Riley Tate and Keytin Grawe each scored with Landon Tennyson and Wyatt McCarty both adding hits. Maxey was the winning pitcher striking out 8 and only gave up one hit.
In the 2nd game, Salem won 19-4. Gibson went 3-4 with 3 runs, Vincent 2 hits and 2 runs, Smith 2-3 with 3 runs, McCarty had 2 hits and a run, Barnes reached base 3 times with 2 RBI, Tate and Grawe both scored twice, Tennyson added a line drive smash RBI single. Tate scored 3 times for Salem. On the mound, Barnes gave up 3 hits in the first, but pitched out of it only giving up 1 run. He then settled in and shut them down over the next 3 innings allowing zero hits and 4 strikeouts.
