Four people were injured in a crash on U.S. 50 and the Iuka Road Thursday afternoon.

Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say an SUV driven by  72-year-old Deborah Ruholl of Eighth Street in Flora was traveling westbound on U.S. 50 when she made a left turn in front of an oncoming eastbound SUV driven by 48-year-old Michael Wasion of North Avenue in Flora.  After impact, the Wasion vehicle overturned on its side.

Wasion and two passengers in his vehicle, 66-year-old Charleen Lister of County Farm Road in Salem and 77-year-old Samuel Wasion of North Avenue in Flora, were all taken to Salem Township Hospital by United Medical Response.  Lister was later transported from the Salem Township Hospital helipad to a St. Louis Hospital for treatment.

Ruholl later went on her own for treatment at the Clay County Hospital at Flora.

Marion County Sheriff Kevin Cripps was among the first on the scene and assisted two out of the Wasion vehicle.   The Iuka Fire Department was also called to assist those in the crash.

The crash was first reported at four Thursday afternoon.
