A 31-year-old Centralia man has been arrested by Centralia Police for criminal sexual abuse and aggravated battery following an incident where he allegedly inappropriately touched a woman.
Torry Williams of South Maple allegedly made a Door Dash delivery of liquor to the woman earlier in the evening and later text her asking if she wanted to hang out. After picking her up, the two allegedly went to the Point on Raccoon Lake where Williams allegedly began making advances on the woman.
The victim was reportedly able to call police and text ‘help’ to a friend before Williams allegedly grabbed her arm to get the phone. He then allegedly went back to inappropriately touching the victim until her friends arrived. At that point, Williams reportedly drove off and was stopped by police in the 2100 block of East McCord Street.
After talking to the victim, Williams was arrested. He was later taken to the Marion County Jail to await a final decision on charges and an initial court appearance.
