Salem Police have arrested two people for possession of stolen property in connection with burglaries to storage units at Complete Storage in the 900 block of East Main Street.
37-year-old Kaylee Hanks and 27-year-old Brendan Ruckman were taken into custody after a search warrant was executed Thursday on the Lakewood apartment unit where they were staying. Police report items stolen from three of the units were allegedly located.
Police say their break in the case came when one of those who had property stolen saw it listed on e-bay. Police executed a search warrant on E-bay which indicated the account listing the item belonged to Ruckman. The search warrant on their apartment followed.
Police say the investigation is continuing and more burglaries to the Complete Storage units are believed to be involved. The burglaries occurred in July and August.
Both Hanks and Ruckman were released on notices to appear in court on three counts of possession of stolen property.
