The SC 13u Storm Chasers had a tough weekend at the O’Fallon GMB Tournament. They dropped their opening game on elimination Sunday falling to the SI Legends 9-8 in extra innings.
SC got a great start on the mound from Payton Gullion who went 3 innings allowing just 4 hits and 1 run as he controlled the game. Avery Gullion worked the next two innings allowing 2 earned runs and Trent Ingram finished the final inning. At the plate, Kaiden Herrell went 2-4 with 2 RBI, Avery Gullion went 3-4 with a triple and drove in 2. Salem also got RBI hits from Ingram, Payton Gullion, Sebastian Kruger and Garret Shumate.
SC is back in action at Brownstown tomorrow to take on the I-70 Prowlers before heading to the Quincy Wood Bat Tournament this weekend.
