In Junior League baseball at the Little League Complex last night, Peoples National Bank defeated Salem Tire 12-2. Peoples got things going in the opening inning when a Brody Collier single scored 3 runs. Peoples put up 5 runs in the fourth on RBI from Zane Barthelemy, Keytin Grawe and Aaden Rostance. Rooster also got the win on the mound going 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on five hits with 9 strikeouts. Carter Lowe led Salem Tire going 2-3 and also allowed 3 hits over 3.2 innings with 6 strikeouts in the loss. Caiden Beer and Colten Starnes drove in runs for Salem Tire.
In baseball coach pitch, Country Financial beat Salem Bowl 21-12. Country Financial had 5 hitters with 4-hit games. Reed Knapp, Ryder Gambill, Payton Etnier, Jace Alvis and Garrett Hunter had 3 singles and a double. Greyson James, Levi Knapp and Dawson Thomason each had 3 hits. Defensively Greyson James made a nice catch on a line drive down the first base line.
In softball coach pitch, All State beat Medicine Shoppe 20-4. Abbi Haines had 5 hits with a double. All state got 5 runs in the fourth on RBI from Adalyn Reynolds, Madison Pryor, Graci Green and Gwen Goostree. Also with a multi-hit game was Alexis Henseler.
