The Salem 9u Wildcats dropped their opening game on Sunday in tournament play falling to the Clinton County Swing Kings 19-7. Jacob Butts went 2-4 with 3 RBI. Salem got RBI also from EJ Wolfe, Isaac Knaap and Weston Crouse.
This was after Salem went 2-1 in Pool Play falling to the SI Predators 13-5. In the loss, Jacob Butts drove in 3 with Knaap adding 2 RBI.
Salem beat Aviston 19-8. Jacob Butts homered in the game as he drove in 8 runs going 4-4 with 4 runs scored. Knaap added 4 RBI with 3 from Zachariah Jones.
Salem beat Sparta in their opening game 9-6. Butts drove in 3 more runs in the win.
In pool play, Salem fell to the Clinton County Swing Kings 19-7. Jacob Butts drove in 3 with RBI from Wolfe, Knaap, Zachariah Jones and Crouse.
