Busy Night At Little League Complex

At the Little League Complex last night in Minors baseball, Kert Martin State Farm and Security Alarm finished in a 5-5 tie.  Kert Martin got the scoring going in the first on a Ben Lux single.  Emit Gibson led Security Alarm with 3 hits.

Squibb Tank knocked off Crouse Funeral Home 14-4.  Tanner Purintun was the winning pitcher allowing 2 hits and 1 earned run with 9 strikeouts in 3 innings.  At the plate, Lucas Howe had 2 hits and drove in 4, Purintun added  3 hits and 2 RBI, Grant Squibb had 2 triples and a RBI with 3 runs scored, Kayne Rhynes drove in 3, Kolten Calhoun 2 hits and 2 RBI, Eli Purdy had a hit and drove in a run, Ethan Parrett 2 hits and a run, Jaden Page scored twice and Logan Howe scored a run.  For Crouse, Isaac Knapp doubled twice.

Country Financial played Rt 50 Auto Repair for the second time this season. Country Financial edged Rt 50 Auto repair by a score of 9-8 in a well played game by both teams. CF was lead by Benson Orrill who hit two home runs and a single. Levi Knapp had a double and two singles. Reed Knapp, Jace Alden, and Garrett Hunter all had three singles. Ryder Gambill had a double and a single. Dawson Thomason had two singles and Peyton Etnier had a double. Defensively Country Financial was lead by Levi Knapp and Garrett Hunter who both recorded three put outs.

In Pony League play Elks beat Peoples National Bank 5-4.  Peoples led 3-0 through 2 1/2 when Brayden Wood hit a 2 run home run to pull with 1. Cam Carmichael scored for peoples in the top of the 4th to go up 2 as Jackson Green answered with a run in the bottom half to make it 4-3. Elks scored 2 more in the bottom of the 5th to take the lead off an RBI line drive into right center from Max Vincent. Peoples threatened in the top of the 6th with 2 on and 1 out when Curt Sullens made a spectacular catch in left field and doubled off the runner at 2nd to end the inning and hold the lead and secure the win. Maxey gets the win on the mound with Anthony and Tyree Wilborn both adding hits for the Elks.  For peoples, Grawe and Carmichael both scored twice and Brody Collier with an RBI. Elwood and Rostance each added hits.

Salem Tire beat Casey’s 14-6.  Caiden Beer went 2-2 with 2 RBI, Carter Lowe had 3 hits, including 2 doubles, and 3 runs with an RBI, Zane Dodson drove in a run as well.  On the mound Lowe was the winning pitcher going 4 innings allowing 2 hits and 6 earned runs.   For Casey’s, Evan Barnes drove in 3 on a double, Eli LoGrasso added a hit and 2 RBI. Angels Salgado worked the first 2 innings allowing 5 hits and 5 earned runs with Barnes and LoGrasso getting the final 3 outs.

In girls coach pitch, All State beat Fabick 21-6.  Abbi Henseler had 6 hits in the win.  Abbi Haines, Julianna Rushing, Gwen Goostree, Briah Henseler, Alexis Henseler, Ally Pryor, Graci Green and Adalyn Reynolds all had multiple hits.
