In 1a girls soccer Sectional finals at Roxana, Belleville Althoff advanced in Penalty Kicks knocking off Columbia 2-1. They will move on to play on Tuesday in the Super Sectional at Columbia to take on Quincy Notre Dame.
It’s Regional championships yesterday in 2a girls soccer. Triad won at Bethalto beating Civic Memorial 8-0, Marion beat the hosts at Carbondale 3-2, Waterloo 7-0 winners over Carterville at Centralia, Mascoutah at home in 2 overtimes beat Mattoon 2-1 on 2 overtime goals from Ella Lowry.
Today in 2a regional championships, Chatham Glenwood will play Mt Zion at Jacksonville.
