Amanda Christine Simer Walter passed away in a Katy hospital on August 12, 2021, at the age of 44 years. Jesus Christ was the center of Amanda’s life. Everything that made her the amazing person she was, sprung from her love for and commitment to the Lord. She loved others to Jesus and inspired them in their walk with Him. This happened as a result of her own deep walk with the Lord. She was a prayer warrior and made time in God’s Word a daily priority. Amanda loved her family fiercely. She poured her life into her four beautiful children, always making sure everyone was taken care of, loved, listened to and ready for whatever was next on the schedule. Amanda was a loving and dedicated wife. She and her husband Darren viewed life as an adventure with all its ups and downs and twists and turns, and were grateful to be on that adventure together. She thrived in the difficult role of Pastor’s Wife and weathered the challenges of that role with graciousness and laser-like focus on Jesus. Amanda brought joy everywhere she went. She lit up every room she entered. She was real, authentic and down to earth and at the same time had a classiness about her. She had a magnetic personality. Amanda was all about relationships. She loved people and brought people together. Amanda served the Lord faithfully in many ways, seen and unseen. She was invested in women’s Bible studies and served in the worship ministry using the gift of her beautifully distinct voice. She was in her element when she was worshiping. Now she worships her God and King, Savior and Redeemer in person.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
