Jefferson Fire fought a one-and-a-half-acre brush fire in rural Texico Monday afternoon.
Fire officials say Jessica Priddy of the 16,000 block of East Robin Road thought she had a fire out, but it rekindled and spread to some thick brush before it was spotted. No buildings were endangered.
The fire call came in at 12:18 Monday afternoon. They were on the scene about an hour 15 minutes.
