Imogene Schnake, 91 of Hoyleton passed away at home on Tuesday, August 3, 2021.
Imogene attended Centralia High School and previously worked at Hollywood Brands Candy Company before becoming a full-time farm and housewife. She enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Country Music on Saturday Nights.
Imogene belonged to the Zion United Church of Christ in Hoyleton and previously was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church in Hoyleton.
Funeral services for Imogene Schnake will be held at Zion United Church of Christ in Hoyleton on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be held from 9:30-11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 10, 2021at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Zion United Church of Christ in Hoyleton or the Murray Parents Association and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618)532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Schnake Family. She was born on September 21, 1929 daughter of Amos and Edna Bierman. She married Richard (Dick) Schnake on July 4, 1948, in Irvington. He preceded her in death on July 16, 2013.
In addition to her husband and parents, Imogene was preceded in death by her daughter: Vickie Schnake- Niederhofer, and her sister: Betty Watts.
Imogene is survived by a son, Randy Schnake and wife Angela of Irvington, five grandchildren, Travis Niederhofer and fiancé Stephanie House of Hoyleton, Lucas Schnake and wife Veronica of St. Louis, Adam Blake and wife Laura of Troy, Derrick Schnake of Charleston, SC and Abby Headrick and husband Chris of Normal, Il.
Great-grandchildren, Lillian Niederhofer, Leo Schnake, Eddison, Elaina and Loxley Blake, Maddie, Palmer, and Lakyn Headrick. Brothers, Jack Bierman and wife Shirley of Centralia and Don Bierman and wife Karen of Centralia. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
