Neva D. Sager, 90, of Texico, passed away at 6:00 a.m. Wednesday , July 28, 2021, at her home. She graduated from Centralia High School, and worked at the Dress Factory in Centralia, and later at Texico State Bank, until her retirement. She was a member of Donoho Prairie Christian Church, and was a Sunday School teacher for many years. She enjoyed flowers, mowing, and birds.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sager will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 2, 2021, at Donoho Prairie Christian Church, with Lance Tate officiating. Burial will follow at Donoho Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service, Monday, August 2, 2021, at the church. She is survived by her sons, Michael Sager and wife Deann of Texico, and Tom Sager and wife Rita of Sims; four grandchildren, Jacob Sager of Texico, Misty Boyd and husband Heath of Wayne City, Jenny Ward and husband Steve of Wayne City, and Amanda Sager and fiancée Ryan Criswell of Mt. Vernon; seven great-grandchildren, Jaden and Madeline Boyd, Brianna Heck, Hailey Odom and Hayden Criswell, and Kyler and Kyrstan Ward.
She was born September 9, 1930, in Walnut Hill, the daughter of Dornton C. and Mabel (Prosise) Kell. On May 29, 1954, at Little Grove Christian Church, she married Charles “Pete” Sager, and he preceded her in death on March 18, 2007. In addition to her husband, Pete Sager, she was preceded in death by her parents.
